Earthcare Environmental merger with Smart Environmental

Armillary Private Capital successfully facilitated Earthcare Environmental’s merger with Smart Environmental.
The merger creates NZ’s largest locally owned waste management group and sets a platform for the combined business’s focus on recycling and diversion from landfill.
Managing Director - Daivd Wallace said “its been great to work with Earthcare Environmental and its owners and management over multiple assignments spanning nearly 20 years and this merger represents a significant milestone and great outcome for Mike, Bruce and the team.
Smart Environmental and Earthcare Environmental are to merge and will retain the Smart Environmental name. The combined entity will provide collection services to more than 430,000 households across 20 councils around the country, as well as more than 85,000 private consumer and commercial customers.
It would also have a workforce of more than 500 employees and contractors, and operate more than 250 waste vehicles.
